Keeping Hot Air Ballooning Safe in England

Keeping Hot Air Ballooning Safe in England

As a balloon flights operator we’re constantly updating our ballooning fleet and checking equipment both ‘in house’ and ‘out of house’.

At the start of September we had all our balloons checked by a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) inspector who tested our hot air balloons fabric, baskets and gas tanks. All of which met the safety standards set out by the CAA as EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

We’re proud to announce we’ll be taking part in this years return of the famous Westcountry Hot Air Balloon Fiesta held on the first weekend of September.

The event is in a new location just by the main college of Tavistock and, to date, has over 30 confirmed balloonists attending with their individual balloons. As the only commercial balloon rides business at the event we’ll both be selling balloon rides at the festival as well as conducting two flights during every flyable slot.

Hot air ballooning in Dorset

Hot air ballooning in Dorset

Posted in Dorset Balloon Rides on  July 27, 2010

Most people who love air activities look for ballooning, which is known as the best adventure sport in England. Being 5, 000 feet above the surface of the earth, sipping on champagne (or a soft drink!), one can see landmarks of the countryside from many different perspectives. A valley that runs from the south of Somerset through to Dorset is one of the most attractive view points for those who experience ballooning in Dorset. The town, the river basin and the Blackmore vale all together make the view dynamically exciting in a hot air balloon.

Ballooning in Dorset starts from either Shaftesbury or Sherborne and people are extremely excited before the trip that allows them to view the county as never before. The area of Dorset is simply amazing because whichever way the wind takes you, you can see the greatness of the landscape and the scenes of medieval times very clearly along with the Southern coastline of England (allowing sights of Christchurch and Bournemouth). This is one of the reasons why ballooning in Dorset is so popular and people want to have a chance of experiencing it. It does't matter where the wind takes the balloon what can be seen throughout the flight is the truely memorable.

A hot air balloon flight is the ultimate experience of a lifetime. The beautiful locations that can be viewed from the sky are unforgettable, especially over England, Scotland and Wales. These locations offer a great deal of fun to people from all walks of life. Corporate people go for hot air balloon rides along with their team members usually as a team building activity or corporate “thank you” present / reward.

Corporate balloon flights are something employed by companies to give their members a respite and a break. Corporate people usually book these flights as part of building their team, to help them come closer to each other and also to discuss corporate matters in a light and engaging manner. When together, the members of the company share and enjoy naturally.
