It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

As Christmas draws nearer and the weather gets colder, there is a variety of Christmas events and activities to keep the whole family busy. So, whilst you’re not busy doing the Christmas shopping, here are some of our best picks. Just remember to wrap up warm!

Winter Wonderland at Hannah’s

For the first time ever, the Edwardian Quad at Hannahs is being transformed into a Winter Wonderland, with a skating rink, a giant 50 foot snowman (with a bouncy castle in his stomach!), pop-up gift and food stalls and even regular snow showers! The fun takes place from Friday 18th November until Friday 23rd December.

Exeter Christmas Market

This year’s Christmas Market will run from Saturday 19th November until Sunday 18th December. The Cathedral green, at the heart of Exeter will be full to the brim with stalls offering unique, handmade gifts, decorations and food items. This really is a great way to get your Christmas shopping underway and is fun for all of the family!

Christmas at Eden Project

Father Christmas and his elves have set up their workshop at Eden Project this Christmas and are keen to meet you and the kids to get ready for the big day! Inside the cosy tent you’ll see Father Christmas and the elves, who are running things like clockwork with a magic reindeer food machine and even a wrapping station! There is even a chance to meet the reindeers too before their big journey. Catch Father Christmas and his elves from Friday 25th November until Saturday 24th December!

Salisbury Christmas Market

Set with a backdrop of the beautiful Guildhall, Salisbury’s Christmas Market comprises of over 75 chalets, selling everything from the finest food to unique gifts. The majority of goods being sold are produced in Britain and there is plenty to choose from so you can get your Christmas shopping off to a start. The market starts on Thursday 24th November until Sunday 18th December.

West Somerset Railway – Santa Special

The Santa Specials offer a steam train trip along the Exmoor Coast from Minehead to Blue Anchor and back or through the Quantock Hills between Bishops Lydeard Station and Crowcombe Heathfield. This gives a 15 minute train ride to Blue Anchor or Crowcombe Heathfield where you will go in to see Santa and a good blaze in the fireplace in the grotto! Santa specials are taking place on selected dates from 3rd December until 24th December.
