A Night of Fright With Ghoulish Games at Wincanton Town Football Club

24th November 2011    News

A big congratulation goes out to Wincanton Town FC who recently held a Halloween fund-raiser in order to kick-start their floodlight appeal.

Club Chairman Mathew Isaacs and his wife Sarah (pictured below) organised a Halloween Casino at Wincanton Sports Ground, where players and supporters of the club could compete in a variety of casino classics such as Blackjack and Roulette.

The tables were kindly donated by ‘Funtasia Casino’ of Yeovil, Somerset and the players holding the most chips at the end of the night were awarded a variety of superb prizes.  These ranged from shopping vouchers, golf balls and bottles of champagne, to spa day passes and a hot air balloon flight donated by Aerosaurus Balloons.

A Night of Fright

According to Club Chairman Mathew Isaacs, the night was a great success with over 100 people attending and raising a substantial £750 to kick-start the club’s Floodlight Appeal. People got into the spirit of the event by dressing in either Halloween costume or ‘Vegas-style’ glamour and a prize was on offer for the best costume.
